Africa Roofing use select timbers in the manufacturing of our products, chosen for their high performance in outdoor environments, as well as their aesthetic qualities.
Our fencing and handrails are manufactured from South African grown, non-toxic, CCA pressure treated eucalyptus timber. We also offer a range of Scandinavian Redwood construction components.
Eucalyptus
A number of our construction products are manufactured from South African grown eucalyptus timber. The eucalyptus we use is plantation grown and harvested to ensure a continuous supply. Plantation growing also ensures the timbers are straight and strong. Eucalyptus provides an authentic African aesthetic, and pressure treated with CCA to ensure longevity, the timber is easy to stain or varnish.
Scandinavian Redwood
We also use Scandinavian Redwood in our products, which withstands environmental elements, yet retains symmetry and aesthetic purpose and style. It is extremely stable, strong and durable, making it perfect for outdoor constructions. This type of timber also ages extremely well and, when treated, can easily last for 30+ years. All of our Scandinavian Redwood products are guaranteed for 30 years against rot and decay, subject to them being maintained as per our terms and conditions: under the terms of your warranty, you must treat the timber 12 months after installation and every 3 years ongoing.
